Trope Series of landscape works considers the body of the land as a biological and emotional system
I began this work with a concept of interpreting George’s (1879) sentiments about ownership of the land being the cause of inequality. Starting with a photograph taken from the window of a moving car, the process followed a journey of witnessing narratives as they arose in my mind, surfacing in disconnected colour and form to eventually rediscover traces of the initial concept of the core of the landscape and its subterranean architecture.
